Definitely a place we hope to return. Very kid friendly.

Our arrival was easy and the place was very clean. I guess if I had any complaints (and these are just a stretch) I would suggest saving up to replace the carpet with a dark patterned wear and tear type, but hey when it is a family setting, stains are just an expected part of the personality! Also, maybe mention to guest where to "set-up" on the beach. We had put our chairs about 6 feet from the surf a couple of houses down and had a guy come out and ask us if we could read or not. Apparently he thought that his "Keep off the dunes" sign was equal to "stay off of the beach in front of my house." I buried my English teacher tendency to tell him to get a dictionary and look up the difference between "dunes" and "beach" or "shoreÓ and we just quietly moved. However, either guests need to know where to confine themselves to (the small stretch in front of the neighborhood was full) or someone need s to tell that guy to get a sign that says what he really wants---no one in front of his property. ItÕs the one-story brown house with the large porch that sets about 30 yards off of the beach to the right of Cancun (if you are facing the ocean).

We tried to use Dog house, but they were booked. However, they were sooooo helpful in calling Clint who took us out for the day. He and everyone we met on the Cape and in Port St. Joe were so nice and genuinely down-home friendly. Thank you again for coming through for us so quickly and thank the rental company as well for accommodating us on such short notice and with such a late check in.
